Product Description: Grampa's Weeder is the original stand-up weed removal tool that has been pulling out weeds and their roots for over a century. Invented in 1913 in Seattle, Washington, this ingeniously designed tool quickly became a must-have for gardeners in the Great Northwest to easily and effectively eliminate weeds.

How to Use Grampa's Weeder: 1. Center the tool over the weed: Simply place the tool directly over the center of the invasive plant. 2. Press into the ground: Push down on the footpad, pressing the tool straight into the soil. Then remove your foot. 3. Lean the handle: This is where the magic happens. Lean the tool towards the footpad. Do not lift or twist the tool - only when you lean it, will the forks pinch around the weed.

Grampa's Story: Production of the stand-up weeder stopped in 1941 so that metal could be diverted to the war effort. Unfortunately, once the war ended, manufacturing of this wonderful tool never resumed. That is, until 1999, when my husband Greg discovered my mother's old garden tool in her garage. Fascinated by its ingenious design, he was determined to bring it back. And so, Grampa's Gardenware Co. was born, and we began hand-making this turn-of-the-century weed puller in our own garage.

We are thrilled to reintroduce Grampa's Weeder to gardeners everywhere. As a small family business, we've come a long way in 25 years. It's amazing that this century-old weed puller, a simple lever, remains one of the most effective weed and dandelion removers on the market.
